Mother’s Day Card- Free Printable

Have you ever seen the meme on Facebook that says “when your mom deserves an island but you can afford a candle”? It makes me giggle but it’s SO true! Moms really are the best! I don’t feel like there’s anything I could do to show my mom just how much she means to me. I made this free printable Mother’s Day card so that maybe you can put your $5 toward a gift instead of a card (why are they so expensive now?) for your awesome mom!

DIY Fiesta Banner

For some reason in Cora Beth’s baby book under holidays there’s a picture slot for Cinco de Mayo! While I usually go eat Mexican food on Cinco de Mayo it isn’t really a holiday I thought I’d have to document during my baby’s first year of life! I’m not one to leave a space blank though. So I figured if we’re going to celebrate why not go big! Go big or go home right? To help with the celebration I made this DIY Fiesta Banner to hang up!

Oh Darling Let’s Stay Home- Free Printable

I am a homebody by nature. Anyone else? When I was working each morning I remember I wanted nothing more than to be able to stay home and sleep in! Now that I’m a stay at home mom and get to (well not sleep in but stay home) I find myself wanting so badly to leave the house some days. I’m more than grateful that I get to stay home and since leaving the house takes as much effort as moving a mountain these days we often do! Isn’t funny though how it works, you always want what you don’t have!

Married Single Mom

I haven’t blogged about deployment at all, to be honest I don’t even really talk about it to my family and friends all that much. About 90% of the time I’m fine but at the same time it’s always a thing. He’s always not here, it’s always in the back of my mind. Recently I read this article and realized that being a married single mom is totally a thing, a thing that happens to apply to me. My husband left half way through my pregnancy and got to come home for about 3 weeks after she was born to which I realize I’m luckier than a lot of military wives. However, he won’t be home for good until sometime this summer which means for over half of the first year of her life I have been/will be a single mom even though I’m married.

Painted Bathroom Cabinets

We bought our house 3 years ago this month and looking back on the before pictures of this bathroom really shows how far we’ve come and how much my style has evolved! After I painted my kitchen cabinets white I knew I’d want to paint the bathroom cabinets one day and I’m so excited that 1 of 2 is now done! While I would love to replace the vanity entirely we just can’t afford that but I think the painted bathroom cabinets makes a huge difference!

Five Things to Put in Baby’s First Easter Basket

It makes my heart so happy to get to do an Easter basket this year! I didn’t really get excited about this past Christmas because I was still in a sleep deprived haze of the newborn stage that all Cora Beth got was a Cuddle + Kind doll that I didn’t even wrap (opps) and forget about Santa! So I’m definitely putting together my baby’s first Easter basket! Of course she’s not really excited about it but I am!

Simple Easter Tablescape

I’m really looking forward to Easter this year! I guess because it’s Cora Beth’s first Easter (her Easter basket is SO cute!). On a recent Target trip I was looking through the dollar bins when I saw the cutest linen napkins and knew I had to have them! Can anyone resist those bins? If you can please tell me your secret!!! Before I knew it the napkins, some eggs and few other items were in my cart and my idea for this simple Easter tablescape was coming together!
