It’s so surreal to me that I’ve had a baby shower! I always wondered what it would be like to have one and it definitely exceeded anything I could’ve imagined! My sister and three of my mom’s friends work so hard to throw me such a gorgeous shower that was Kate Spade meets storybook.
It’s the last day of September and it’s finally starting to feel like fall in middle Tennessee, although, I won’t hold my breath as the temperature is likely to spike back up! And at the end of this post I have some free fall art prints for you!
Fall is my favorite season. Pumpkin flavored everything, soup in the crockpot, light jackets, windows open, the leaves change into gorgeous oranges, reds, and yellows! It’s just the best! And I’m so thankful that God allows for new seasons, not just in the weather though but in life as well.
I hit 28 weeks this past Thursday, officially putting me in my third trimester! And no one is more surprised than me that this pregnancy has flown by so far! Although I have a feeling it’ll start to slow down as I approach my due date!
I thought it might be fun to recap my second trimester more for me to be able to go back and read later on as I start to forget than for any other reason! I wish I had thought to do it with my first trimester but it was basically 13 weeks of exhaustion and some nausea.
I think one of the hardest decisions of pregnancy is choosing a name for your little bundle of joy! I mean they’re stuck with it their whole life, that’s a big responsibility! However, girl names have always been easier for me to pick out than boy names so we got lucky there!
In July we hopped on the trend train and had a gender reveal party! Some people think they’re over done now but I think they’re fun! We also had a dual purpose with ours as it was also an opportunity for family and friends to give their well wishes to my husband before he left to serve our country, which is how our gender reveal got its patriotic theme!
So a little while back I shared several makeovers I did with chalk paint including our kitchen table! Well this coffee table is the last piece of that puzzle that I didn’t get around to showing you because it was right around the time I found out I was pregnant!
I thought it might be fun to share how we told our families we were pregnant as well as how I told my husband! Since this is our first pregnancy I wanted to do it in a fun way without just blurting it out which is also a more difficult way since you have to keep it a secret at least for a little bit!
How I told my husband:
When I noticed my period wasn’t arriving on time (which should’ve been on a Sunday) we agreed I’d wait until that Friday to take a test. However, I’m way too impatient and ended up taking the test on Wednesday while he was at work!
Hey there friends! Today’s the day I finally share the office makeover reveal with you and it’s a little bittersweet. After sharing our news with you the office will now have to be a guestroom/office to make room for baby Cushman! In fact the transformation is already underway! So the pictures you see here won’t last sadly but I’m so excited to be planning a nursery!
Just as I promised on Instagram last week, here’s a new free art print! I actually had a friend request it for her home (I hope you’re enjoying it April!) and I decided to share it with my lovely readers as well! You can download it at the end of this post!
