Mamas I finally found it! The diaper that is both easy on my baby’s bottom and my bank account! While I was pregnant I read about all the harmful chemicals in so many household and skin care products including diapers and wipes. I made sure all of Cora Beth’s shampoo, soaps, lotions, and diaper creams were free of the harmful chemicals. I even bought her an organic mattress and mattress cover. But for some reason I stuck with a big name brand diapers and wipes.
I remember coming home after my baby shower feeling SO overwhelmed! Who would’ve thought that such a little person would need so much stuff! And while this being my first I probably have more than I truly need, organization still has to happen whether it’s your first or your fifth! Now that she’s almost 6 months old I feel like I finally have a system that works. I’m certainly not an organizing pro but I wanted to share with y’all 5 tips to organizing baby’s room! Of course this may vary from baby to baby and room to room but overall these tips should apply!
I wanted to take the time to write Cora Beth’s birth story. I know as time passes the details will start to slip from my mind (especially since I was foggy from magnesium). My sweet girl entered into the world in a way I really couldn’t have imaged that she would and to be honest most of the prayers I prayed for her birth went unanswered. However, at the end of the day I had a healthy baby girl and for that I’m so grateful!
When I found out I was pregnant one of the things I was really looking forward to was decorating the nursery! Especially once I found out we were having a girl! A simply sweet and floral nursery was what I immediately had in mind for my baby girl’s room! I love how her room turned out and it’s probably the only room in our house that I consider “done”! So prepare for picture overload because I’m just a teeny bit proud of it!
I can’t believe my pregnancy has come and gone and I now have an adorable 6 week old daughter (it’s still hard to wrap my brain around that I’m a mom)! I miss being pregnant a little bit and am already looking forward to the day we grow our family even more, although it will hopefully be a couple years!
My third trimester was September 16th – November 21st!
I think every momma to be discovers throughout her pregnancy a few things that make growing a human being a little bit easier! I thought I’d share with y’all my pregnancy must haves and maybe you can give them a try during your pregnancy and find that they could be one of yours too!
(Note: I’m not getting endorsed in anyway shape or form for this post it’s honestly things I have found to make my pregnancy easier)
It’s so surreal to me that I’ve had a baby shower! I always wondered what it would be like to have one and it definitely exceeded anything I could’ve imagined! My sister and three of my mom’s friends work so hard to throw me such a gorgeous shower that was Kate Spade meets storybook.
I hit 28 weeks this past Thursday, officially putting me in my third trimester! And no one is more surprised than me that this pregnancy has flown by so far! Although I have a feeling it’ll start to slow down as I approach my due date!
I thought it might be fun to recap my second trimester more for me to be able to go back and read later on as I start to forget than for any other reason! I wish I had thought to do it with my first trimester but it was basically 13 weeks of exhaustion and some nausea.
I think one of the hardest decisions of pregnancy is choosing a name for your little bundle of joy! I mean they’re stuck with it their whole life, that’s a big responsibility! However, girl names have always been easier for me to pick out than boy names so we got lucky there!
In July we hopped on the trend train and had a gender reveal party! Some people think they’re over done now but I think they’re fun! We also had a dual purpose with ours as it was also an opportunity for family and friends to give their well wishes to my husband before he left to serve our country, which is how our gender reveal got its patriotic theme!
