Christmas Home Tour 2015

It honestly doesn’t even seem like Christmas is NEXT week, WHAT?! Between my mission trip in the Dominican with 90 degree weather to it being in the 70’s here at home and then add in that this year has straight up gone by way to fast I’m just plum not ready for Christmas to be here! And I LOVE Christmas. But it’s coming whether I’m ready for it or not!

I got our tree and most of the decorations up before I left and this weekend I finished everything up! This is the first time I’ve put our living room on the blog. I’m not super happy with the way it looks, if money was endless it would look much different but money has its end and so instead of feeling insecure and comparing our home to others on the internet that are seemingly perfect I’m going to take a lesson from the Dominicans. I’m going to be proud of what we DO have and not focus on what we don’t! So without further ado here’s our Christmas home tour!

Let me ask a question, I’m not sure how I feel about this guy’s paint color. What do you think? Should I keep him as is or repaint him? I’m too indecisive on it I need other opinions!

I’m so excited because we’ll actually have people over to get to eat our table! (unlike our Thanksgiving table.)

This is a güira, it’s a musical instrument they used in the DR. I’m so glad I was able to use it on my table (because I don’t plan on playing it anytime soon), it’s like they’ll be sharing a meal with us in spirit!

Well that’s all folks! I wish I could have you all over for an in person tour and I’d make you coffee and some homemade cookies, but the virtual tour will have to do!

Now I really need to get hopping on my Christmas shopping! Until next time!
