Cora Beth’s Simply Sweet & Floral Nursery Reveal

Floral Nursery

When I found out I was pregnant one of the things I was really looking forward to was decorating the nursery! Especially once I found out we were having a girl! A simply sweet and floral nursery was what I immediately had in mind for my baby girl’s room! I love how her room turned out and it’s probably the only room in our house that I consider “done”! So prepare for picture overload because I’m just a teeny bit proud of it!

Cora Beth’s crib is borrowed from my husband’s cousin. If we had to buy our own I would’ve gone with white and I didn’t paint it because they’d like it back one day. And free was more important than white!

Floral Nursery BeddingThe teddy bear is actually a build-a-bear that Garrett made me when we were dating in high school, I think it was my junior year. I can’t wait to see her toting it around one day!

It has her name on it which you can’t see in the picture but it’s so adorable! She also made her crib skirt and it’s adjustable (why they only sell them at 14 inches long in stores is beyond me)!

Floral Nursery DIYThe deer head came from Hobby Lobby as well and I spray painted it white and added the floral detail with leftover flowers from her C! The framed C is thrifted, my mom actually bought it and it was displayed at my bridal shower (our last name starts with a C)! When it came down to choosing a print for her room I really wanted it to speak truth, and this print from etsy was perfect! It serves as a reminder to me as well, in the sleepless nights and hard mom moments I know that the Lord is with me.

Gray Floral NurseryWhimsical Floral NurseryThere are no words for how much I LOVE her dresser! We originally picked out a dresser from Toy’s R Us and after they delivered TWO damaged ones to our house I threw my hands up and said forget it! I then went in search for an older dresser and a local girl who paints furniture found this one for me! Being pregnant I was not going to attempt to paint a dresser and she did such a phenomenal job that it was 100% worth the little extra money (and it was still less expensive than the cheaply made Toy’s R Us dresser)!

Farmhouse Floral NurseryRustic Floral NurseryI had a friend of mine make this sign. Drew Holcomb and the Neighbors and their songs have become such a special part of our family, all of the songs in our wedding were by them! Drew has a song called “You’ll Always Be My Girl” and I fell in love with it during my pregnancy. I’d sing it to Cora Beth on my way to work and she would always give me a couple extra kicks. Now I sing it to her before bed and her little face just lights up!

Pink Floral NurseryEven after making the deer head I still had some flowers left so I put them in a small vase to continue on with the floral nursery theme! And I couldn’t resist this picture of Lady as a puppy! They’ll be best friends, I’m sure of it!

There are so many meaningful details in her room that just make it so special! I love spending time in here to nurse her or rock her to sleep. I’m so excited to watch her grow and start to play in here, to continuously make memories in here. My hope is when she’s older she’ll look back on it as fondly as I will!

Until next time,
