The season of giving is upon us friends! It’s time for the bottom of our trees to slowly fill with gifts for those we love. And to see their faces light up on Christmas when they open them! How great would it be to keep that look of joy on their face going beyond the holidays? Too often our gifts end up in the back of a closet, drawer or cabinet just a few months after Christmas. Instead I propose giving a gift that’ll last the whole year (or possibly longer!). In fact I’ve got 5 gift ideas that keep on giving after the holidays and they work for just about all ages!
Are magazines falling in popularity? I certainly hope not! I loved getting them as a kid, a teenager and even now as an adult. Which is part of why this gift could work for just about anyone, there’s magazines for every age on every topic. And how fun would it be for your loved one to think of you each month when it arrives at their mailbox?
Have a loved one who lives near a zoo, museum, or even an aquarium or science center? A membership would make a great gift! This works well for younger kids (think toddler to 5th grade) but I’d say it almost doubles as a gift to the parent. They have a fun activity to do with their child and it’s not coming out of their wallet!
They pretty much make a subscription box for just about everything these days! From toys to beauty supplies, food, even ones for the furry members of your family. And they come at different price ranges, some are even as low as $10/month. Just a quick google search and you’ll find endless options!
Give the gift of binge watching! With tons of movies and TV shows, I think anyone would be a fan of this gift. There are several different streaming services available so it shouldn’t be hard to find one that’s a perfect fit for your loved one!
This gift is perfect for the expecting mama in your life and would certainly be the most unique and the most special!
Cord blood and cord tissue, which contain powerful stem cells, come from a newborn’s umbilical cord and are collected immediately after birth. It’s an easy process and preserving your newborn’s stem cells may give your child or an immediate family member the ability to use the cells, depending on the condition and other factors, for current cord blood therapies and potential future applications, like regenerative medicine.
How amazing would that gift be?!
Curious about the cost? CBR believes passionately in the power of healthy families and has many options to make it affordable for families, including payment plans or a gift registry option where friends and family can contribute toward the cost of preserving newborn stem cells… They also have the Newborn Possibilities Program®, which assists families with a qualifying medical need by covering all costs for preserving their child’s newborn stem cells and storing them for 5 years. Not currently pregnant? Me either.
During my pregnancy, I think cord blood banking may have briefly been mentioned. I wasn’t well informed on the topic to truly make a decision. However, now that I’ve done more research and with what I now know, we’ll definitely be considering cord blood banking when another little babe comes along!
Find out more information to consider cord blood banking for a current pregnancy, a future pregnancy like I am, or pass this info along to an expectant mama!
I sure hope that you found some gift giving inspiration for not only Dec 25th but to spread the joy all year long!
