I’m still a little bit in denial that my baby girl has turned a year old! The weekend before Thanksgiving we had her first birthday party at my parent’s house! My mom is amazing at throwing parties and should seriously be a party planner. I’m so thankful she and my sister helped out! We threw CB a super cute pink and gold birthday party for her first birthday! We threw in some flowers because I’m a sucker for florals! And a few pumpkins to make it a little more fall. I couldn’t be happier with how gorgeous her party turned out!

The food set up was in my parent’s dining room. We used a mixture of fake flowers and real eucalyptus from Trader Joe’s in painted mason jars. And then added some small pumpkins and votives. I’m in love with the the main pumpkins my mom made!
I ended up making this sign to display in the dining room. I really love how it turned out and I’m going to try and find a place for it in her room!
These cookies are pretty much the world’s cutest, like almost too cute to eat! They were so perfect for the pink and gold birthday party theme!
I used an insulation board and wrapped it in gold wrapping paper to display her monthly pictures! It was so crazy to see how she’s grown from month to month. I also used some twine, floral wire, and more eucalyptus from TJ’s to make a simple little garland.
Her presents from my parents! The cuddle + kind doll was a perfect match for her party and CB’s outfit!
We decorated the kitchen table to match the dining room. It simply served as a place for guests to eat.
I of course couldn’t not deck out her high chair! I used streamers from Party City (I also used them on the mantel) and made the banner from scrapbook paper, card stock, and a vinyl cut out I had a lady make. My mom and sister surprised me with the birthday crown and it’s so stinking adorable!
And the best part of any party, cake! We had our normal cake lady make two naked cakes, one french vanilla and one snicker doodle. They are THE BEST cakes I’ve ever had! She made our wedding cakes and we’ve been back ever since, she even made the cake for our gender reveal! We added fresh flowers (again from Trader Joe’s) to the tops and the main cake we added this one topper from amazon.
I made her smash cake by using the Very Vanilla cupcakes recipe from Everyday Detox. I simply split the batter and made two 6 inch cakes. The recipe didn’t have any refined sugar in it which is what I preferred so it wouldn’t upset her stomach or have her crashing from a sugar high later.
And I’m so glad I decided to go the healthier smash cake route because she went to town on it!
I snapped this picture a couple days later because I realized that I never got a really good picture that showcased her cute birthday outfit at her party! Her being one just really hasn’t hit me yet! But she’s becoming more like a toddler and less like a baby every day and it makes me excited and so sad all at the same time! It was so much fun to celebrate her with such a beautiful pink and gold birthday party surround by family and friends!
