Well it certainly took me a lot longer to finish putting up my decorations for Christmas than I thought it would! We put our tree up on November 1st and I didn’t finish decorating it until like December 5th. I tell you toddlers make every job just a tad harder! Now that it’s finally up and as done as it’s going to get I figured I’d share! So here is my simple Christmas decor tour!
I have one and only one Christmas decorating tip. If you have small children don’t even bothering putting ornaments on your tree. The bottom half our tree is already undecorated because I was tired of pulling CB away from them! Next year, mark my words, will be the year of garland only.
Since Santa is finally going to be visiting our house it really makes me want a fireplace and mantel to hang the stockings from. However, since CB likes to try and dig the rocks out of the bottom of my parents’ fireplace it’s probably good we don’t have one!
My little work area finally making its debut. I’ve got more on this little corner coming soon! Just a few pops of red and some Christmas cards to make it cheerful.
I really love how my wreaths in my kitchen window turned out! If you caught my stories on Instagram at the beginning of December I talked about how I was a little weary of the idea turning out. I simply hung them on a branch from my parents backyard!
A few branches from a bush in our yard for a festive centerpiece! Real life my table just can’t be set all the time. I’ve got a one year old to feed people! And I love our advent calendar from Crew + Co. It goes along with the Jesus Storybook Bible!
And then finally there is CB’s room. You can see her whole room in this post: Pink and Red Nursery Christmas Decor
And there is my simple Christmas decor tour! I will say CB’s room is my favorite. Probably because it feels “done” on just a regular day. Where as there is a lot of work I want to do to our living room that I’m hoping to get to in early 2018! Also I think next year we’ll opt for a real tree verses our fake one.
I hope you and your family have the Merriest Christmas celebrating the birth of our Savior!
